Lizard in the shower - like snakes on a plane.
________________________________________________________________
I boiled a lizard dead today.
The incident happened just an hour ago, right in my home bathroom.
You see, i have this habit of leaving the heater on, for at least half an hour, before i go into the shower. For those of you who know me, i love my water hot, and i mean scorching hot.
So when i finally entered the shower, i was irritated that a lizard was sharing the cubicle with me.
To prevent myself from having to spend the next fifteen minutes running away from it, i decided to get rid of IT.
And so, the tool of murder - the shower spray.
I shifted the lever to HOT, aimed the shower head right at the lizard and gotcha! the victim jumped!
And so i followed its belly dancing, aiming the shower head on it for a full 2 minutes before i decided i was wasting too much precious water on a tiny lizard.
And so when the torture finally stopped, the creature was boiled dead, overturned on its back.
The grossest part was when i had to pick it up to dump it into the toilet bowl.
The time i didnt anticipate was how fast a tissue soaks through a wet dead lizard. Yikes, the feeling on my fingers.
And that, was the story of how i boiled dead a lizard.
I was about to go into how dearie and i tried the new japanese marche at cityhall today. But that sounds extremely unapt now that i've spent the last 10 minutes describing how i killed a lizard.
Anyway, in brief, the place was pretty interesting, the food was pretty yummy. But of course the price wasn't cheap either.
Oh wells.
Anyway, another week at wk tmr. I pray for a good week. Be with me lord.

Teabags.
________________________________________________________________

Oh man, somebody save me.
I'm having a splitting headache. One of the worst i've ever had.
There used to be a period at work, whereby i'll get headaches every thursday or friday when i settle down to try and write my story. I'm talking about a real physical headache, one that calls for a panadol. Not one of those : "oh, there's so much to do, how am i gonna finish my work" headaches.
Boo. Anyway, i've already down one panadol and it doesn't seem to be working.
And it sucks to think that i wasted calories on five pieces of watery durian. No good. Must have been the heat in the back of the trunk.
Oh yah, before i forget the real reason why i'm here.
I was in the toilet just now, trying to do my business, and reading a magazine. When i saw a paragraph that says something like : "some ppl try and save money by reusing their teabags".
My question: what's so wrong about reusing your teabags?
I for one, reuse my teabag every day. Ok, i don't exactly reuse it, but i leave it in a little saucer for my mom to use it later.
She loves having yuen-yang ( coffee and tea mix) for breakfast. And since my breakfast is usually a two minute affair, meaning my teabag only gets to sit in the water for about a minute, i don't see anything wrong with saving the teabag with my mom.
And she actually appreciates my gesture of saving her a teabag every morning - at least i think so.
Anyway, i've lost point in what i wanted to say.
But whatever it is, there's nothing wrong with saving your teabags.
And man, the splitting headache is still here.
Bummer.

Updates
________________________________________________________________
It's been a long time since i last updated and it's not because i have nothing to blog about.
So much has happened over the past months but i don't always have the time or the patience to come online to write it out. I do miss this spot sometimes. Cause i enjoy reading my past posts. My older posts always bring back vivid memories of what happened back then.
Anyway, it's been another wk at work. Life just flies by so fast. The other day i had this sudden urge, this wanting to be a travel writer. It got so real that i went online to search for an opening. But i know, easier said that done. But hey, its worth a shot.
Anyway, for those of you who still don't know, April 10th marked the arrival of baby russell. Heh heh. My first nephew, a truely amazing and cute creature.
Just yesterday, my dad asked me:
D: Eh, you haven't seen russell in a few days, do you miss him? M: Hmm..abit lor, maybe when i am free i think abt him for a bit. D: I miss him you know, i think he's really cute. M: Errr..okie.
Haha, there goes my dad, a first time grandpa. I hope he gets that excited over my kid next time.
Anyway i just got back from Vietnam too! Ok, not just but for a few wks already. Saigon was an interesting place, pity the trip was so short.
Dearie and I am heading to shenzhen, hk and maccau come August! Woohoo. The tickets have already been booked. Now its just counting down.
Come to think abt it, we've been to quite a number of places together dear: taiwan, bangkok, krabi, christmas island, batam and now hk and china.
Woohoo. One more to add to the list.
Bliss :)

Travis - Flowers in the Window
There's no reason to feel bad
But there are many reasons to feel glad, sad, mad
Its just a bunch of feelings that we have to hold
But i am here to help you with the load.
Wow look at you now
Flowers in the window
It's such a lovely day
And i am glad that you feel the same
Cause to stand up i'm in the crowd
You're one in a million
And i love you so, so lets watch the flowers grow.
