2009 here I come!

And so, welcome to 2009!
There's always a weird feeling when a new year begins. It's like you're finally at the end of the race, and then you realise, hey, i've got one more round to go.
I've never really liked the new year - especially the first few months of the year. Things are always scary when the year starts. You gotta restart your engine, re-motivate yourself, reorganise your life, everything goes back to square one.
But hey, looking back, i think 2008 has been a pretty good year.
My family life improved, i've got a new nephew who practically brought new life to the family. I had a good year at work - and will strive hard to maintain it that way. Also, i got engaged this year, another major step of my life. The only regret probably, is not spending enough time with god and my cg. It's hard to manage the time sometimes, but hey, i'm not giving up.
As always, december is an exciting time. Thus, i decided to do a photo recap. But before that, let's have a brief list of the events and how i spent them:
Dec 09 - 3 year anniversary with my dearie. We had a nice dinner and got err...pretty much half drunk happy.
Dec 18 - my 24th birthday. Had four birthday dinners over a span of a week. took the weekend off from work. recharged!
Dec 22 - CG's Back to School party. Was MC at the event, everyone dressed up silly and had fun.
Dec 24/25 - Christmas eve with the girls. We attended the candlelight service and had a countdown later at mad jack over fries and burgers. christmas day was as usual, a day to chillax.
Dec 31st - A glorious half day at work. Met up with some old friends from USC. Night was spent at home party with the relatives. The girls came over too, and we chatted by the pool before we popped a bottle of champagne at 12 midnight - errr, a minute or two before or after 12, we aren't quite sure.
So enough of me talking. Here goes the pictures:
 Our anniversary dinner at Absolute Haven. Pretty good food.
 And then we decided to take a walk to clarke quay. And because i was already kinda high, i insisted on getting a picture with "my friends".  Err, i uploaded a wrong pix. Anyway, it was from a previous zoo outing.  Still on the way to clarke quay. Both in black!  My birthday cake at midnight. Chocolate banana. Made my parents and dearie sing.  In my glamorous PJs of course.  Before back to school. Me and russell. Looking equally surprised.  Dating was always encouraged at this school. wished we went to the prom together!  The skirt was too damn tight. Some primary school uniform skirt.  Was very impressed with the deco team. All four in specs!  Two weird couples. haha. Melvin looks hilarious!  All the girls!  December babies!  The boys!  Errr...i dont know how or how we decided to come up with this pose.  Every year, a few days b4 christmas, we insist on braving through the orchard crowd to see the lights!  And of course the traditional toffeenut latte we cannot miss. had frappe this time round though.  Candlelight service with the girls. how pretty! the lights i mean.  Before that we also did our annual gift exchange.  I got a dilbert calander! courtesy of ame.  Christmas day - how best to celebrate than having kfc.  A relaxed christmas. Dearie in his christmas gift!  New year's eve meet up with the bride to be.  And the rest. it's been a long time.  New yr's day! my fav nephew.  Who can resist this cute lil' one - and his two front teeth. hahaa!
