Worky work. ________________________________________________________________
And so, today marks another of my "firsts" - first day at work.

I woke up bright and cheery, had a good 7 hours sleep the night before. Left the house supposedly early but am appalled at how the morning traffic can really slow your journey down. All those sleepy-eyed adults in their messy office wear dragging their feet to the office. 86 was disgustingly packed. Yikes.

Anyway, all went well today. Three days of induction programme before i report to the news desk proper for work. Today was nothing but running around getting introduced to the big bosses. We could even sit in at the morning meeting, one where they discuss the what's gonna go into next day's paper, so that was cool. Spent lunch playing pool and i am looking forward to try out their gym soon and be a regular user. Have yet to shed those extra 2kgs from newzealand. Shucks.

Alrighty, be back for more.

A month ago... ________________________________________________________________

I was clearing my wallet when i saw the cadbury factory ticket in it. Exactly a month ago, on 15th May, we were cheerily visiting the cadbury factory in Dunedin. As the picture above shows, we were all loading up our baskets with chocolates like we've never seen chocolates before. The lady in the middle with the cute outfit was our cadbury guide.
Now now, a month later, it's three days till i officially start work. The feeling's hard to describe. Anxiety, excitement, sian-ness all thrown into one bucket full of emotions.
Oh wells.
Anyway, weekend away in Kluang for Yen's wedding! Woohoo. Another happy couple. :)

West side! ________________________________________________________________

And so i was looking through those new zealand photos and i can't help but LOL when i saw this picture of us.
This was taken after one of those expensive and unsatisfying lunches in a ulu restaurant. We just visited the only castle in NZ and was waiting for our penguin tour in an hour's time or so. Lazing on one of the benches outside, the ingenious four came up with this idea to take a damn cool shot. Haha. And i must say the best actress award goes to amelynn, complete with the jie-lun hood.
hoho.

Back! ________________________________________________________________
Hee-hah! I'm back! Been back for a week actually but simply been too lazy to do any writing of any sort.

And so, i am tempted not to blog about the trip, because blogging about it means posting pictures and posting pictures means spending hours in front of the computer. haiyo...laziness re-defined.

Anyway, the trip was pretty darn good. Despite the nights of nothingness - yes NZ has a really lousy night scene, so we had to self entertain by watching teevee in our motel nightly, the trip still made me do things i wouldnt have had the chance to do back here in sunny island.

There, the weather was so freezing cold, we were constantly craving for a hot drink or jumping back into the car after braving the cold for a few good shots.

There, i drove so much i never knew driving could be that tiring. There i drove so fast, i didn't knew a driving ticket could cost that much. There, i skydived and i never knew i could fly this way. There i walked on the glacier and i never knew bestfriend nearly died. hoho.

Anyways...i will attempt to post some pictures..someday. haha.

These days life has been good. My routine: waking up around 11, spend an hour eating breakfast, drinking tea and reading through the papers, spend some time on the internet checking email and stuff, contemplating whether to go do some exercise, decide against it, spend some time reading and eating more, watching dvds, out shopping, eat dinner, come home and bump and watch tv while i attempt to hula.

This lifestyle, plus the two weeks in NZ, left me two kgs heavier. And the thing is, i'm out of control, i can't tell myself to stop eating. Ahhh..frustrating.

Alright, time for some dvds. Till we meet again...

Lyric of the month

Travis - Flowers in the Window

There's no reason to feel bad
But there are many reasons to feel glad, sad, mad
Its just a bunch of feelings that we have to hold
But i am here to help you with the load.

Wow look at you now
Flowers in the window
It's such a lovely day
And i am glad that you feel the same
Cause to stand up i'm in the crowd
You're one in a million
And i love you so, so lets watch the flowers grow.
