You know what? I seriously can't take spending a whole day at home!
I did just that today. It's the week whereby we have to clear all our assignments and there are just tons of work to be done. Yes. And for all who know me well, i ain't exactly the "i'll finish my assignment 2 weeks before dateline" type and so as with every sem, this is the crucial cram-sixmonths'work-into-a-week period.
Besides my jog in the evening, i was home the entire day without a single soul to speak to. Had so many assignments, big and small alike to complete. Just got so brain dead after awhile.
But guess what? I came up with a new plan! Now, whenever i get so stoned staring at the computer, i turn to my left and continue where i left off on the bible. I am thus making great process on my bible reading considering how easily i get stoned and distracted when doing work. Haha.
Alright, back to work back to work.

Moustache power.

And so, thanks to youtube, we get hilarious entertainment.
So in this video, is an indian ntu lecturer, entertaining his students.
How you ask? Well first of all, he has a really nice and interesting indian accent. Secondly, he has a really neat tash of moustache. Thirdly, he was showing his students the feedback he recieved from students of previous semesters.
For those of you who don't know, we kids have to do this survey every sem, rating our lecturers. At this end of the page, there's also a space for comments on the lecturer.
So this was what one student wrote:

If it is, please don't set such difficult exam questions because most of us don't have moustache!
Wahaha. This amongst a handfull of other hilarious comments, most involving his sex appeal and his bald head. Heh.

The Big Wedding.

Hours and hours of careful planning, all for a 3 hour dinner.
Everything happened in a whizz, we were rehearsing, walking down the steps, we were getting dolled up, we were welcoming the guests in, the bride and groom was walking down the steps for real and now the grand entrance, and then the food came and we went from table to table, smiling and making senseless conversations.
"Wah, you lost so much weight!"
"Wah! so next year it's your turn to get married hor?"
I just smiled and moved on.
And at 11pm, everything was over. The guests were full and a couple of hundred dollars poorer, the bride and groom finally heaved a sigh of relief. That was before the groom had to do the big merlion. Haha. Why do people have to drunk the groom on his big night? I never quite understood.
"I ordered room service and gobbled down a whole plate of $16 hokkein mee last night," my sis smsed me the next afternoon while she was having buffet at King's hotel. Char kwey Tiao, rojak, carrot cake and the sinfully delicious dessert. She finally broke her fast.
It all went well. Everyone was happy. My sis is finally married off! After the big hype and the crazy prepration, suddenly it feels a little empty, not having the big wedding to talk about.

Think my blog's like getting boring, so i decided to upload some really random photos just for fun! Haha. Haven't been taking much pictures lately. Actually have lar, but somehow it's always on other people's cameras, so oh wells.
This sunday is the big wedding, so i'll make sure i'll have someone bring a digicam and take many good shots of the ceremony so i can blog about it!
Feeling kinda in limbo lately. Like i have to do but i am just not getting down to it? Like what's wrong with me right? Yea..i wonder too.
Anyway, kinda got back in contact with a college classmate just now. I don't know why, but we just somehow lost contact completely for 2 yrs. It's just so bizzare, like we completely forgot about each other, or according to her, i completely forgot abt her. haha. Oh wells, just glad that things are looking good now. Maybe it's not that good an idea to always be appearing offline on msn. Am losing contact with people and not even realising it!
Alright, enough for the night.
Oh yah, did i mention there was a day last week, when i had mac for lunch and BK for dinner followed by steamboat for supper???? Grossed out? So am i.

I'm getting on a new routine!
I try to sleep by 2am everynight now. I figured my late nights were giving me dark rings and an ugly complexion.
So for the past few days, i've been getting to bed early, or at least in my definition. Think it really did make me feel more refreshed when i woke up in the morning.
So oh wells. It's 2.17am, why am i here?!

I must say our whole family isn't exactly moving on with the whole "sis is now married and out of the house" situation.
It's only the third night since she's been away from home and guess what, we're missing her terribly.
Sat was the wedding day, so there was alot of drama and everyone was tired from the festivity and her absence wasn't really felt.
The emptiness kicked in on sunday afternoon when we all stayed in and kinda waited for her to come back home to visit. She was supposed to be back to get some clothes u see. So she came and we chilled all the way till 10plus at night. When she finally had to go, the whole crying drama started... and everyone was just kinda sad.
Monday night sis came home again. I don't know if she was finding an excuse, but she just said she had stuff to pass to mom for safe keeping. So oh wells. She was back, we had dinner and mooncakes together, laughed and watched abit of tv and then she had to go. At the door her eyes were red again but she told us she was determined not to cry.
Then tonight when i got home, mom kept pestering me to sms sis to ask how everything is going. I tried to get her to call sis instead but she insisted she didn't want to disturb, smsing is less intrusive she thinks. So oh wells, i sent sis a msg and she called home. She and mom chatted for a good 15mins before mom passed on the phone to me. And guess what? Sis was tearing on the phone again. Haha. Told her how i missed her the night before when i got out of the toilet and saw her empty room and she burst out in tears while trying to muffle it was a laugh. Sigh..
And now, we're already making plans for her to come back tmr night after her yoga class to have dinner together. See, how pathetic the bunch of us are.
I wonder how i'll ever get used to not seeing her everyday.
Give it time...just give it time...

The little things.

It has only been a day but the change is obvious.
The tube of toothpaste was exactly the way i left it. The indentation left by my thumb and forefinger was still deep.
After the shower, i dried myself clean. As per my usual habit, i turned to my right to hang the towel. Both the first and second poles of the towel rack was empty. We always used to fight for the first front rack cause the second one was too troublesome. Now, both racks are mine.
The bathroom tiles are clean, no long strands of fallen hair for us to argue over who they belong to.
The contact lense solution ran out. There was no arguing over whose turn it was to stock up this time round. I just quietly went to the store and got a new bottle.
The doormat was empty when i got home. There wasn't the usual pair of ridiculously high nine west.
The room next door is empty, the bed is empty, the usually bursting full wardrobe is only half full.
Then, she came home.
We had dinner and the usual bickering and then she volunteered to do the dishes. As usual there was the bitching about work and her in-laws.
And then it was time to go.
We said our goodbyes, mom told them to drive safe. She stood near the door playing around with the umbrella, looking at the ceiling, looking at the sofa, looking at them lamps. Just lingering. Then i saw that her eyes were wet and red, big fat tears threathening to roll over its rims.
Then the big drops fell. The parents laughed at their little girl, teasing her for being such a kid, told her she's welcomed back home anytime.
I came back in here and typed this entry.

Haiyo, i tried to upload a picture but darn blogger just refuses to post it. So annoying.
Anyway, my one week break went by so fast, i can't even remember what i did. Basically alot of phone calling, alot of emailing to get contacts for my fyp. Some interviews and then i was slacking.
Exercising morale on an all time low. Boo. This sat is the tea ceremony and i still have a huge tummy when i put on the pink dress. Things are so not going according to plan!
Also, i need to get my sleeping time back to regular hours. This weird sleeping hours is giving me dark rings! Boo.
