Wah damn sad! Tried the stupid photothing on Myheritage.com. While friends get results of them looking similar to tony leong, leon lai, brad pitt, guess what?! I was told i look like EDDIE MURPHY?! And so i tried to compare myself to a female celebrity instead and the photo of ANITA MUI came up! Haiyo....
Anyways, menu for the day:
Lunch: Home cooked pasta - white sauce with mushrooms!
Dinner: Some carrot cake, hokkien mee and kangkong + cuttlefish
- points : Both meals are quite fattening.
+ points : Swam in the morning and didn't eat big portions for both.
Results : Still ok lar, balance out.
Yay, diet programme is thankfully still on track. Run baby run!

It's my favourite day of the week! Gorgeous friday :)
Friday's the day i hit work with a smile. Friday's the day when we head out for 2.5 hour lunches. Friday's the day we leave at 6 on the dot. Friday's usually datenights. And Fridays are the days i make myself stay up LATE no matter how tired i am! Sleeping = going into saturday = one day less of my weekend!
Anyways, watched a dumb movie with ame tonight after work. Harridson Ford's latest piece, and a complete bore at best. Extremely old and typical plot, no twists, no sense of reality, and no hunks/babes to keep the already bored viewer entertained. Oh wells, at least it was free. haha. Bestfriend came and we chilled for abit at Venezia, swaying to the band singing super oldschool hits before heading home.
Oh yah, the osim chair's here! It's sis' mommy's day present to mom. 2 months early, but very much appreciated. An expensive buy, so hopefully mom will love it! It's taking up too much space in the living room though. And i don't like it when the place's cluttered.
Alrighty, gonna go laze around before turning in. It's friday! Woohoo.

It's amazing how God can be watching over you without you even knowing it. It's amazing how the seed you have sown is finally showing progress. It's amazing when your father opens his heart and talks to you about 'your god'. It's amazing when he starts to believe. It's amazing that God has planned all these without me even knowing it.
It's like a birthday surprise, only that the gift's more precious. Eternity for your family. :)

My current obsession.

 Is it just me or do you guys agree that he's hot like hell? These days whenever i'm bored, i feel this intolerable urge to go google him up. Now i feel like a 13 year old all over again. -grins-
Anyway, work's slowing down abit for now. Just closed up the may issue and so i have like 2 more days before we have to go crazy again. Basically sat at my desk and read some books today leisurely, for book reviews. Editor was super busy closing things up so she didn't bother me. Yay!
And so i went to the gym as usual today. The girl running beside me's like super fit. She ran so fast, and her muscles are huge. I feel like a lump of bobbing fats beside her. But then again, she inspired me to go faster and so today's run was really quite good.
Am gonna go sleep soon. Read a book today that sleeping well can actually help you lost weight. Crap. No wonder i have been fat all my life. I haven't slept well enough! Now now, i see a brillant reason to spend more hours in bed. :)

The cake.

So these pictures are a week late, but who really cares right? haha.
My bro-in-law (in exactly 3 days time), turned 37 last sunday! GASPS! haha. Anyway, sis was real sweet and had a surprise party for him. Of course, it was a huge party and guests should be really honoured if they were invited.
Guest list: James, sis, dearie, me.
So, the big plan was for me and dearie to get to whitebait before them, light the cake, the HOMEMADE cake and then surprise james to tears. And so we did just that, minus the tears and throw in a bucket of laughter though.
For this party, sis actually learnt to bake a cake?! She doesn't cook, hates washing, doesn't even really like eating, but for him, she spent countless hours and ALOT of money, test baking 4 times before the final product was produced.
In the end, the cake looked like a stone-hard hamburger, but it was indeed filled with bags of sweetness and love.

Sometimes, you drift so far away, it seems too far to go back.
Ever felt really lost? The feeling of a little child who lost her parents in the shopping mall? You sit down and you bawl, only this time, no one comes to you. No one brings you back home.
Ever felt so far away even when you are only inches from each other? It's like right in your face but your heart's simply not there.
Ever picked up the phone and wanted to dial? But then you have to think of what to say and it becomes too tiring all over again.
Someone who reads, someone who feels, someone who knows without having to spell it out loud. People like that are hard to find. Maybe you'll never find them. Others find them in a partner, in a friend, in a relative, in a child. While others find them in the walls around them.
Arghh. Frustration.
i miss our friendship, i miss having you around. Won't you come back some day?
